There is a report that has surfaced that Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd is suffering from a nerve issue in his knee that may very well jeopardize his career.

Sources with knowledge of the situation told USA Today that the nerve that controls Floyd’s quadriceps was disrupted during surgery in September to clean up the meniscus in his right knee, and nearly six months later, the quadriceps "still isn't firing."

This may have been what Floyd's rather ominous and mysterious Instagram post last week was all about but we cannot be certain until speaking with Floyd himself.

USA Today Sports spoke with Floyd's agent, Brian Mackler, who declined to comment on specifics of the Vikings defensive tackle's injuries but did tell them, "Sharrif is rehabbing, has seen some of the best doctors in the country, will continue to rehab and hopefully, this will heal sooner than later.”
