Pirates Hold Off Twins In Series Opener

(Pittsburgh, PA)  --  The Pirates scored five runs in the first inning and held on to beat the Twins 5-4 in the home opener at PNC Park.  Colin Moran cracked a grand slam and Gregory Polanco got on base in all five of his at-bats.  Polanco was 1-for-1 with a RBI, a run scored and four walks.  Jameson Taillon [[ TY-own ]] picked up the win, striking out nine over five-and-a-third innings of two-run ball as Pittsburgh improved to 4-and-0.  Brian Dozer hit his third homer for Minnesota.  Lance Lynn took the loss as the Twins slipped to 2-and-2.
