In 2012 T.J. Oshie's dad Tim was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease. Now in his 50s, with his disease having progressed, Tim was able to watch his son win a Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals last night.
Oshie was asked about his father last night during an interview and his tearful response had me bawling last night as I watched it.
