Following the shaping of the team's 53-man roster yesterday we're starting to see some reports of players who are agreeing to terms with the Vikings to become part of their 16 player practice squad.

And some of the names are familiar ones that we know from camp.

So far reports have tied the following names to the Minnesota Vikings...

Jake Browning, Ameer Abdullah, Hercules Mata'afa, Tuf Borland, Zack Bailey, Dakota Dozier, Parry Nickerson, Tye Smith, Jake Bargas, A.J. Rose Jr., Kyle Hinton, Myron Mitchell, Zach Davidson, Kenny Willekes, Whop Philyor and Myles Dorn.

*NOTE* - Jake Browning and Hercules Mata'afa (bold above) are both reported to have been on the practice squad but were not on the Vikings initial 14 player confirmed release.

*UPDATE* - Reports have surfaced with sources claiming the Vikings will no longer go the way of Jake Browning and are expected to sign former Viking backup Sean Mannion. CLICK HERE for more...

Officially then, minus Browning and Mata'afa, that's 14 of 16 positions filled right now leaving room for two more to be claimed from other rosters.

Remember, much like yesterday's list of 53 was simply the "initial" 53-man roster, this is the "initial" practice squad and it's likely that some more shuffling with occur even with the names we're already hearing.
