Minneapolis, MN - Leading up to this weekend's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, wide receiver Greg Jennings had high praise to be shared about Vikings backup quarterback Matt Cassel. At the time, Cassel was still the second-string slinger but the writing was on the wall for Ponder to be sidelined and Cassel to get the starting nod.

"[Matt's] more verbal...kind of commanding in the huddle," Jennings said last week of Cassel.

Today we sit here having seen the Vikings walk away from Wembley Stadium with a 34-27 victory and Matt Cassel look like a true quarterback. Following the game, Jennings continued his high praise of Cassel and the new look Vikings offense.

"It comes down to execution," Jennings told KFAN after the game "We were able to execute. Guys were able to do their jobs. When you're working together as a team, good things happen and that's what happened today."

Jennings, who was visibly frustrated through the first three weeks of the year, finished the day with three catches for 92 yards. He also found the endzone for the first time as a Vikings receiver and then he followed it up by finding the end zone a second time later in the first half.

Topping the highlight list for Jennings was a first quarter short out pass that turned into something big as Jennings sprinted down the field and into the end zone for a 70 yard touchdown.

"It felt awesome,"Jennings said about scoring his first touchdown in Purple. "I got a great block from my counter part Jarius Wright here that kind of sprung me to the endzone. Again, a complete team effort. Everyone sees the guy who gets into the endzone, but it takes a lot of guys doing the right thing."

Jennings second touchdown, a 16 yard out-and-in, picked on defensive back Cortez Allen and put the Vikings up 34-17 but came at a cost as well. Jennings landed awkwardly with Allen on top of him and headed to the sidelines with a knee injury that didn't look pretty.

Jennings did return to action and after the game brushed off the injury saying, "I feel good. You don't feel anything when you get the win! We'll check it out [at home]. I'm good, I was able to finish the game so it's not a big deal."

The Vikings are hoping that Sunday was simply Jennings' coming out party in Minnesota and that he can continue to connect with whichever quarterback is out there and help the Vikings return to relevancy sooner rather than later.
