It's been nearly a week since KFAN first reported that Jared Allen was contemplating retirement and in the days since nothing has happened to change our mind.
Over the weekend, it was reported that the former Vikings defensive end headed out to the west coast for a visit with the reigning Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has long been rumored to have interest in Allen including an inquiry as the 2013 trade deadline approached.
After what sounds like a lengthy meeting with the Seahawks, Allen went home empty handed where he remains Sunday night with his family. The meeting was Allen's first sit down with a team during his first free agency period.
According to Allen's agent Ken Harris, the ten year veteran is planning on making a few more visits with team's this upcoming week but the option to walk away and retire remains a very real possibility.
