AKA:
Lake Show, H-Lake
With
the FAN since: December 1997
Most memorable FAN moment: I would probably say the whole weight lifting bit at the old KFAN the Restaurant. It was funny because of how the bit came to be. In talking about the NBA pre-draft performances, I made a statement about being able to bench 185 pounds 17 times, that being the work out weight that NBA draft prospects are measured by. Sludge and Doogie talked about it on the air and said there was no way I could lift that amount that many times. The first thing that popped in my mind, being a guy that works out on a regular basis at the gym, was that how in the heck could two dudes who don't know the first thing about weight lifting tell me what I can and cannot lift? Everyone at the FAN, as well as a few other Clearchannel station personalities, thought I had no shot. I know my body and what I am capable of, so the challenge was on!! We packed the restaurant with listeners on a Friday night and did the lift off live on the air. Mike Morris was spotting me and the donations from onlookers and listeners went to his charity, SMA. Not only did I lift the weight 23 times, but I surpassed every player at the camp. In the words of the Notorious B.I.G., "if you don't know, now you know."
The best movie scene of all-time is : When Nia Long kissed Larenz Tate at the end of Love Jones, my favorite movie of all time.
What is the best feature of KFAN.com?: The web stream. My show is world wide baby!
What is your favorite button bar drop of all time?: The Red Stripe's "Hooray Beer"
Who is your favorite FAN caller of all time: Miguel. He represents my feelings toward the callers/listerners. Every time he calls he starts off with the question, "What up cousin?" We are not related but I feel a respect for everybody that calls. I value you're opinion, even if we don't agree about things.
When you are done at the FAN what will you be doing?: Partying with P Diddy? I don't know. The question should probably be what won't you be doing?
And in closing...: I feel like Shaquille O'Neal, if you don't like Henry Lake, something is wrong with you.
