Briean Boddy, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound freshman cornerback from Coffeyville (KS) Community College, committed to Minnesota after visiting the campus this past weekend. Boddy was named a second team All-Jayhawk Conference cornerback this past season. GopherHole.com caught up with his former defensive back coach Nick McBroom to learn more about Boddy’s visit and commitment.

Boddy finished with 40 tackles and a blocked kick this season as the Red Ravens finished 6-4. He intercepted four passes, which he returned for 50 yards and recovered three fumbles.

Boddy was named Jayhawk Conference Defensive Player of the Week twice and also was honored as Jayhawk Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

Boddy was a two-sport standout at Wilmington (DE) Delcastle Technical as he played quarterback and point guard for the basketball team.
