The state championship is the apple of every high school football player's eye. The opportunity to make it to the final game lingers in the back of their minds' all season long until the day comes and it's the playoffs. They finally have an opportunity, a chance, a shot to claim the coveted title: state champion.

Who will be the next 6A state football champion? Two teams have one last opportunity to try for this coveted title: Lakeville North and Eden Prarie.

Zach Creighton (QB), senior, leads in passing yards for Lakeville North. Creighton will be a player to watch. Junior runningback, Jamiah Newell leads in rushing yards with 159 carries for a total of 1,142 total yards.

When their offense steps onto the field it means trouble for the other team. Eden Prairie's offense is known to run the ball. Eden Prairie is well known for their rushing yards and tackles.

I predict a close game. Both teams are prepared offensively and defensively but as we know teams can buckle under the pressure. I think it is up to a solid O-line to protect their QB in order to make big plays.

What do you think? Who will be the next 6A state champion? Take the poll and leave your comments below.
