Being an intern for The FAN has given me some incredible opportunities with The Power Trip Morning Show. But I’ve also been lucky enough to contribute to Extreme Pro Wrestling Radio on KFAN.com. This means you should expect to hear me on the upcoming live show this Sunday, January 27th. Tune in from 1:00-3:00 as Big D, Tim and I get you set for one of the most anticipated events in sports entertainment every year: the Royal Rumble.
The Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View never fails to disappoint because of the surprise competitors, celebrity appearances and the unique concept of the main event. In the main event, thirty competitors aim to eliminate their opponents by tossing them over the top rope with both feet touching the floor outside of the ring. The winner of the match earns the opportunity to face the champion of their choice at Wrestlemania.
But wait, there’s more! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will compete against WWE Champion CM Punk for the title. Rock hopes to become champ for the first time in over a decade, while Punk hopes to continue his more than yearlong title reign.
Who will win the Rumble? Who will become champion? Will John Cena do the expected by winning the Rumble and challenge The Rock at Mania? Or will a superstar be given the push that they deserve? Will The Rock win the belt? Or will CM Punk continue make a name for himself as the best in the world? A lot of questions will likely be answered this Sunday and I’m most certainly looking forward to it!
