What a freaking kick in the spot -- I'LL HAVE ANOTHER is out of the Belmont Stakes due to a tendon injury. Trainer DOUG O'NEIL broke it on the DAN PATRICK show this morning, which means Triple Crown Immortality ... dead! Horse had a big-time shot at sweeping the elusive crown, and hundreds of thousands were going to flock to tracks across the Great Divide to bet on or against history.

Sadly, many of them will opt for other plans now because the Belmont has become less of a sporting event and more of a bet. It's a wonderful short-term-wagering opportunity and, in fact, perhaps even more juicy sans the star. I am one who beieves UNION RAGS is overrated and DULLAHAN is better on the "poly" than dirt, so I will be crushing something at 8-to-1 or above.

We are giving away 4,000 I'll Have Another tee shirts tomorrow at Canterbury, and even though he won't run for history it gives you the chance to stave the sun if you lose your shirt at the windows (IALTO?).

... JOHN SULLIVAN: Love when he comes in studio and the chats with me and CHARCH during the Friday Feast.

The center was loving on MATT KALIL today and guaranteed he'd be a star in the NFL. That's big talk for Mr. Sullivan because he's the last guy to overpraise. Clearly he has seen enough and appreciates the young man's dedication to his craft. This is CHRISTIAN PONDER'S bodyguard and obviously is important to our mix.

I am excited about our offensive line next season. I am hearing nothing but positive things about second-year RG BRANDON FUSCO, the D-II guy from Slippery Rock. Kid is scrappy as hell and put some amazing stuff on film last year at Washington.

Oops, sorry, he was supposed to play poorly so we could lose and own the second-overall selection in the draft. Damn the luck; why would a rookie from Nowhere, USA want to play well in a "meaningless" game to give himself a chance to win a job the next year and make money down the road? IALTO!
