This is what your Minnesota Vikings have to say about their dear friend, Mr. Paul Allen, via intern Samantha Fischer's training camp questionaire!
Adrian Peterson, RB, #28
Paul says he knows you on a personal level and he speaks very highly of you. Would you speak as highly of Paul?
Yeah, he’s a great guy. Obviously he does great things for the Vikings and I have nothing but the utmost respect for him. Not only that, but he’s human. He’s a down-to-earth person. We have a lot of conversations and are able to interact with each other. We have a pretty good relationship.
Lately on the show, we’ve been trying to get Paul up to speed with current music, movies, TV, etc. Is there anything you would suggest he listen to/watch since you know him on a personal level?
I think he would like a little soulful music. Like a little Ray Lamontagne. He’s got a beautiful voice and he’s good for the soul and good for the spirit. To give him a little hip stuff, give him a little B.O.B. Maybe a little Luther. It’s always good to have a little Luther Vandross in your life. You know, with the easy-going type moments when you want to relax and let your mind be free and feel good.
How about some movies?
A movie called Sanctum. It’s a real good movie.
Paul Allen is a self-proclaimed “elite football mind.” Would you agree?
I would definitely agree with that.
Mike Priefer, Special Teams Coordinator
Paul says he knows you on a personal level and he speaks very highly of you. Would you speak as highly of Paul?
I like Paul. He’s got energy and passion and he loves the game of football. I share a lot of similarities so he’s a lot like me, obviously in a different profession, but we both share the same passion about football.
When you hear or see Paul what comes to mind for you?
“Here comes another bunch of questions that I’d love to answer.” He likes special teams, so he’ll ask great questions and it fires me up that he enjoys it so much. I enjoy being on the radio with him whenever I get to talk about football.

Absolutely.
Erin Henderson, LB, #50
Paul says he knows you on a personal level and he speaks very highly of you. Would you speak as highly of Paul?
No. Not at all (laughs). No, he’s a good guy. I’ve enjoyed working with him over the years and getting to know him. We’ve kind of opened up to each other a little more and more as we’ve gotten to know each other. We have a pretty good working relationship. He’s introduced me to a lot of different things and has shown me some new things, it’s kind of cool.
Lately on the show, we’ve been trying to get Paul up to speed with current music, movies, TV, etc. Is there anything you would suggest he listen to/watch since you know him on a personal level?
Not really, not right now. I’ve been out of the loop a little bit out here in camp. You get swamped in this stuff and you don’t really pay attention to the outside world. I honestly don’t know what’s going on. I guess one suggestion would be Batman. I went and saw that before camp, so maybe that would be a good one.
When you think of Paul, The Voice of the Vikings, are there any calls he’s made during a game that come to mind? Any that might be your favorite or memorable to you?
He’s had some pretty good ones over the years. I’ve gone and listened to him call horse racing. That was pretty fun too.
Paul says he knows you on a personal level and he speaks very highly of you. Would you speak as highly of Paul?
Sure. Absolutely. He’s a good guy, the best.

You have to see Ted and you have to see Brave with the kids. I’m into country, he probably doesn’t do country music, so I wouldn’t help him too much with that.

Yes, I agree. Absolutely.
Christian Ponder, QB, #7
Paul says he knows you on a personal level and he speaks very highly of you. Would you speak as highly of Paul?
You know, if I were on the radio I would speak highly of him, but if someone asked me a real personal question, probably not. No.

Ahh, man. I don’t know. I would say he needs to check out a new band called Imagine Dragons and then get back to me. They’re good and they’re new.

No, I don’t. Not at all
