Just completed the toughest fantasy-football draft in he land -- League Charch, PAUL CHARCHIAN'S league, executed from the League Safe headquarters in Plymouth. Shark tank, Great whites, tigers, hammerheads. When I walk in they see dead money and generally have been accurate.

This time, though, GM JOE NELSON and I took a different approach; instead of nabbing one guy in the auction with a $100 'cap for like $40 to $50 we pieced together several studs in the 14-team league and hopefully will represent well.

First we figured ADRIAN PETERSON would go for $27 and when he was sitting there at $21 we housed Our Favorite Kid. He'll play and score against Jacksonville and started taking hits at practice today. I actually believe he is very close to 100 percent and there is little reason to believe he'll be minimized when we debut in a week and change. While I don't expect 25 carries I do expect him to receive a decent workload, and all the stuff inside the 10 goes his way if it's not a fade to the behemoth KYLE RUDOLPH. I have Adrian on a minimum of 14 touchdowns this year, and he has scored the most rushing TD's of anybody since 2007.

Adrian will be fine and will be dominating early in the season. We complemented him with FRANK GORE, who we nabbed for just $8. He will not receive as many touches as in the past but still runs with fury and catches the ball. I felt this was the S.O.D. and will be pivotal in our quest for the title in the prestigious league.

Atlanta WR RODDY WHITE is in our covenant, and he's a stone-cold stud. To win this league you need at least four studs and I feel we landed five. Roddy was targeted more than any receiver in the game last year, and given Atlanta will pass more this season this also seems to be a nifty little purchase for $24. We bookended Roddy with ERIC DECKER, who caught two TD's from PEYTON MANNING last night.

Decker was the first to work daily with Manning shortly after QB Immortality was signed, and Eric will score at least 12 times this year. I feel very, very good with him as our number-two wideout. Our third receiver is PIERRE GARCON, who we were able to land for $5. He and RG3 have developed a nice repoire this preseason, and given they guaranteed him $21.5 million you know SHANNY and DANNY will implore the kid to target him many times. I love our receivers.

GM Joe demanded we bid a buck for RANDY MOSS, so we did and landed him. I still am not sure he makes the team but will be worth a look if he does. He's not as fast as he used to be and doesn't get off the "jam" the way he used to but is incredibly motivated, and JIM HARBAUGH is good for Moss. This could work out well if he still has just a tiny bit left in the tank.

Our TE JACOB TAMME was had for just $2 and he and Peyton have equity, so maybe that will elevate him to a few scores. Don't like starting two guys from the same team but hope to get lucky with this one.

Our $18 QB is CAM NEWTON, and this was my favorite pick of our draft. I do not envision his rushing TD's dropping off much from last year, even though Carolina has a three-deep backfield and the goal-line stuff may go the way of MIKE TOLBERT. Cam passed for 21 touchdows last year and did so with no offseason workouts. I liked him into the draft but actually preferred JAKE LOCKER as a true NFL QB. I am dreadfully wrong with that take to this point but Jake can even the conversation by playing well this year. Plus, in owning Cam, Adrian and Gore we should amass the most rushing TD's in League Charch, and that should be good for something.

That's the bit and we'll take our chances. We identified guys we liked and housed them. Now we have to be right.
