We celebrate the 1983 Wayzata Club Hockey Team and one of its stars, Jonny "The Mouse" Mikkelson, who once told me "Our team was so good the varsity wouldn't play us." When asked why he didn't play varsity Mouse said, "Too little." Cutest ever. So, we salute the greatest Club Hockey Team ever, a squad so vaunted even Jim Craig's Miracle team wanted nothing to do with it. Trottier, Bossy, Gretzky, Messier ... dead! Long live the 1983 Wayzata Club Hockey team!

MAY B&B ...
November 16, 2007… Since that date, the Minnesota Wild cannot, and will not be considered a tough team.
UCF at TC last night was bunk. The "hang" with old and new friends was spectacular and the seats awesome, but the fights were boring. I guess there was a pretty big upset in the finale, but that felt it lasted about 15 seconds. The fights that went three rounds and 15 minutes each provided little action, and the throng was booing lustily all night due to the limited action, minimal punching and overall boredom.
I can imagine when the battling is fierce and intense the events could be intriguing, and UFC does bring with it a buzz from the crowd, but I must have caught it on an off night because the potency of the matches matched our offense at Detroit last night -- minimal scoring.
Depth chart done, win predicted, many passing yards to be had tomorrow, Tennessee has a bunch of high-round picks playing on its defense, KARL KLUG of Caledonia is on a homecoming and first-place status should be held. Go Jacksonville, beat the Bears on a travel off Monday-night football so we can be soul alone in first place.
