We celebrate the 1983 Wayzata Club Hockey Team and one of its stars, Jonny "The Mouse" Mikkelson, who once told me "Our team was so good the varsity wouldn't play us." When asked why he didn't play varsity Mouse said, "Too little." Cutest ever. So, we salute the greatest Club Hockey Team ever, a squad so vaunted even Jim Craig's Miracle team wanted nothing to do with it. Trottier, Bossy, Gretzky, Messier ... dead! Long live the 1983 Wayzata Club Hockey team!

f the Wild were Judge Charles H. Older, the judge that sent Charles Manson to the clink: “2 weeks in the workhouse and 1 month probation!”
The games. Fun weekend:
GREEN BAY at SAN FRAN. -- If DL JUSTIN SMITH cannot impact the game due to playing hurt the Niners may be in some trouble. When they won at Lambeau earlier this year they played "Dime" defense all game, and even though THEGREAT PATRICK WILLIS was off the field they confused ARODG enough to win. ALDON SMITH should maul MARSHALL NEWHOUSE.
In doing that, though, they need an amazing pass rush because Rodgers is better now than he was in September and, honestly, I have never seen him play better.
Let's not forget GB can be a bad-tackling bunch and its OL has had its problems. San Francisco can exploit those problem points and will have to to win. I can't pick COLIN to beat Aaron in a playoff game and envision a GB win by seven or more.
Now that CHARLES WOODSON has one under his belt he'll be more squared away, and I have a feeling he makes some huge plays in this game. He also can make VERNON DAVIS a blank spot on the bingo card by himself.
SEATTLE at ATLANTA -- Seattle's CB's are good enough to handle RODDY and JULIO in man for a few seconds, and if the Seahawks can mess with ATL's OL it will win. RUSSELL WILSON is a special player. Matt Ryan is very good but I truly believe Russell has some swerve to his game Matt lacks.
The Seahawks can control the clock with that running game and have something very good going right now. Their Midnight Train to Georgia will not become unrailed.
BALTIMORE at DENVER -- MANNING is so much better in this apot than FLACCO it's tough to not think Denver will roll.
I like Baltimore's RAY LEWIS-led energy and do envision the Ravens scoring some points. Manning, though, has been to postseason Handling School and will find a way to win. I select Denver by seven or fewer.
HOUSTON at NEW ENGLAND -- I like the Pats quite a bit on this spot. The late-season addition of AQIB TALIB will help in games like this. And he's a quality-tackling CB. Houston finished poorly and while it beat Cincy last week I don't think has a chance this weekend.
BELICHICK neutralized JJ WATT with two and three guys when they killed Houston earlier this year, and the Texans have absolutely no answer for VINCE WILFORK, a elite player. Houston has to blitz gto apply pressure and there's no better blitz-burning QB in the NFL than CAPTAIN COOL.
Houston beat a Cincy team with an overerated defense and traditionally is an awful road playoff team. Big deal. Belichick was ready for this game a week ago, and his Pats advance to a meeting with Manning after a win by at least 17 points.
TEAM TUBBY at INDY -- Elite College Basketball Minds tell me Indiana has beaten up on bad teams. Haven't seen the Hoosiers play and wouldn't know.
What I do know is Team Tubby never has been better, is fast, can play explosively, has players that manage the game well and locks you down on defense. They'll have to get into their bench a tad in this game, and CODY will try to put MBAKWE into foul trouble, as Trevor conceded 9-to-Noon today.
Team Tubby absolutely can win this game and set up a showdown with second-ranked Michigan at The Barn Thursday. That will be must-watch basketball.
