Rubes absolutely adore QUINTON PATTON, a WR from Louisiana Tech who will be drafted high in April. We own the 23 spot and need juice outside the numbers. The posted video is an aggressive nine minutes but displays the kids skills in a high-scoring, tight game against Texas A&M. Got the clip from a member of Rube Nation, meaning I have received no fewer than 50 tips this week on this kid.

I like him and am excited to get to the Combine in a month to learn more about him. Yep, he could wear our colors next season and I'd be good with that. The WR, though, that intrigues me as much is ROBERT WOODS, a kid from USC. I remember when he was a freshman and how imposing he was on the Gophers' game at USC. He went on to shine for a couple of years, and despite nagging injuriies (a) managed 11 TD's last season and (b) did so with teammate and stud WR MARQISE LEE stealing the show.

Woods is a fantastic player and would give the Vikings exactly what they needed in the passing game. Elite Mock Minds have him as second-round stock, but it doesn't matter where he is supposed to be selected, it matters what SPIELMAN thinks and the route he would take to get him.

With this kid, PERCY, SIMPSON, WRIGHT and RUDOLPH we'd be markedly better in the passing game. This isn't to say LB, CB or DL isn't something that needs to be addressed, but I kind of still am on last season's theme of the offseason being about CHRISTIAN PONDER. Maybe they flirt with a veteran WR in free agency to help? From 10-6, yeah, we want to stay young but also are in a spot to complement what already is good, and continuing to make sure our offense closes Green Bay's passing-game gap is important to me. Robert Woods or Quinton Patton would assist that.
