Minneapolis, MN - After an afternoon of speculation surrounding the status of Percy Harvin and the Minnesota Vikings, word broke early Wednesday evening that the Minnesota Vikings have placed Percy Harvin on the Injured Reserve list, ending his 2012 season.

It's unknown if the decision was made prior to Leslie Frazier meeting the media this afternoon but the hemming and hawing sure made it seem as if he knew something that we didn't know this afternoon. When the final decision was made to place Harvin on the IR, it was a sure bet that the Vikings offense took a big hit.

Harvin, who injured his ankle on November 4th, had missed the Vikings past three games with a suspected sprained ankle. With this latest move sending Harvin to the IR, it is fair to assume that there is further damage to Harvin's ankle that may require surgery to repair.
