Minneapolis, MN - It's no secret that the Minnesota Vikings will be wearing new uniforms for the 2013 season, but the design will be kept under lock and key until they are debuted at the 2013 Miller Lite Vikings Draft Party on April 25th. That is until today!
Earlier today the Vikings released a sneak peek of the collar portion of the new Purple (home) jerseys above.
Looking closely at this small swatch we can see a few keys into the final design. The shade of purple is a darker shade, more manly if you will, that more closely resembles the shade of purple from the team's throwback jerseys from the 1960s.
Also, the yellow appears to have a different tinge to it, more of a gold look than the traditional yellow that we have seen.
Take a look at the swatch below which is pulled from the same section of the team's old (2012) jerseys.

As we get closer to the draft we can expect to get more and more glimpses into the design process and actual design of the team's new jerseys.
