Minneapolis, MN - 35 year old cornerback Antoine Winfield has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks ending his nine year stint with the Minnesota Vikings.
Winfield told ESPN's Josina Anderson of the news following his almost week long courtship with Seattle.
"It was a very tough decision for me because of the relationships that I have in Minnesota," Winfield told Anderson. "I've been there nine years. I've had some really great coaches, teammates and fans there. I'm very grateful to the Vikings organization for my experience."
Winfield was released by the Vikings earlier this spring in order to clear cap space for other free agent acquisitions. Winfield was due to make $7.25M with Minnesota before being released.
The terms of Winfield's deal with the Seahawks are not yet clear.
